Benedetti Sessions Cumbria
Join us for a week of FREE Sessions with the Benedetti Tutors
They are high energy and high inspiration and by taking part, you will meet and work with some of the greatest music educators.
All the workshops are fully funded and FREE for you to attend.
Tuesday 20 September: Primary School CPD
4-6pm | Dane Ghyll School, Barrow-in-Furness, LA14 4PG
This CPD session will provide support for primary school staff who have little or no musical experience. It is designed to build confidence in teaching music in the classroom. It will offer a comprehensive presentation and demonstration of what the Benedetti Foundation believe to be the strongest and greatest teaching practices in the world.
Thursday 22 September: String Workshop for Students (afternoon)
1–4pm (registration from 12.30) | Trinity School CA1 1J
The aim of the String Workshop is to provide a springboard opportunity, a catalyst to inspire children to continue with learning their instrument when enthusiasm may be waning, to encourage them to engage in the opportunities available to them in the local area and ultimately to enhance their commitment and dedication to learning their instrument.
The workshop would suit any player of the violin, viola, cello or double bass who can play open strings up to Grade 2+ standard and are approximately in School Years 3-8.
As this is a school day we will write to your school to formally request permission to attend this workshop as an educational activity.
Thursday 22 September – Instrumental Teacher CPD sessions (evening)
We are offering 3 sessions of instrumental teacher training for teachers of any musical instrument, it’s not just for string teachers!
Session 2: 5.30-6.20pm Leading Ensemble Rehearsals – working with and writing for beginners
Session 3: 6.30–7.20pm Group Teaching
Each session is led by a member of the Benedetti team and you are welcome to attend all or just one or two sessions.
