Cumbria Youth Orchestra is a group of experienced young musicians (around grade 4-8 standard) who want to be part of something bigger and get more out of music.
Join us in 2024 for a year of Orchestral Experiences:
Summer: get into the summer vibe with an Orchestral Ibiza/Hacienda Club experience – reharsal dates 20 & 21 July with final performance (venue tbc)
Spring: with Guest Conductor Stephen Threlfall (Lake District Summer Music / Chetham's School)
Inspire Me! Music Days: Be inspired, explore new genres and discover pathways into music employment with our programme of 1-day workshops starting on 2 March Jazz, Music Theatre, Music Production, Opera... In venues around the whole of Cumbria.

Join us to discover the excitement of creating live music with other young musicians, supported by our team of specialist professional tutors. If you want to explore what being part of an orchestra is like, improve your ensemble skills and raise the level of your playing, we’d love to hear from you.

Membership Fees
Annual Membership:
£48 Registration Fee
£100 for participation in the full Season Programme.
Your membership is subsidised by the Music Education Hub fund.
Fee Remissions:
Pupils in receipt of Free School Meals are entitled to a 50% discount on fees, and all Looked After Children can attend free of charge.
Payment:
We will take your payment for the Registration Fee via the Stripe Payment gateway. If you need an alternative way to pay, please contact us.
