Encountering Wordsworth

2020 is the 250th anniversary of the birth of  Wordsworth, one of Britain’s most influential Romantic poets who wrote many of his famous poems at Dove Cottage in Grasmere. Building on the success of three previous Young Composer projects we’re marking this date with an exciting collaboration in South Lakeland.

Encountering Wordsworth Young Composers' Project Young people (aged 13 or above) can apply now to work with professional composer, Laura Bowler, members of the Manchester Camerata orchestra and a Sound Artist to create a piece of music to be performed by a professional orchestra and primary school choirs.
