KS1: Michael’s Magical Menagerie

Michael’s Magical Menagerie goes digital – with 6 weeks of singing, story telling and creative work for Key Stage 1, starting on 19 April.

Trellis Arts has transformed their live show into a series of 6 video episodes  –  which you can fit in to your timetable at a time that suits you.

We will ask the children to sing along, and Michael and his mum will encourage the children to create their own wonderful creatures and explore out door spaces and look for mini beasts.

Cost: £95                                                           Book Now

The project includes:

  • 6 x weekly episodes with accompanying activities
  • A teachers resource pack
  • 1 x online gallery to share the work created by participating children
  • 2 x CPD sessions for teachers to share good practice.  First session will be on Wednesday  24 March at 4pm, the second tbc.
  • 1 x schools symposium exploring the challenges and successes of remote working on creative activities in partnership with CMEH and Frame ( West Cumbria Cultural Education Partnership)

Michael always wanted a pet, but living in a little house on a busy road the answer was always NO!

A chance encounter with an old Gardener sends Michael on an epic adventure in a magical world full of weird and wonderful animals, creatures and features.  Join storyteller Jeff Wallcook and Musician Sarah Kekus as they tell the story through song, music, puppetry and laughter.

The themes within the story include: friendship, pets, the life cycle, and developing an imagination.
