FMCLogo Where: The Muse, Dowdales School, Dalton-in-Furness When: Saturdays during term time Groups: Training Orchestra 9:00 - 10:15 For players of all orchestral instrument, up to grade 3, to gain experience in playing together. There are usually at least two professional tutors taking the session. Chamber Groups (grade 4 and above) 9:00 - 10:15 for intermediate to more advanced players to develop their ensemble playing - such as string quartet or flute choir.  These sessions are supported by our music tutors but tend to be led more by the players, who often find their own music and enjoy encouraging  each other and passing on tips. Community Orchestra 10:30 - 12:15 welcomes players of all abilities to join together as an orchestra under our Director of Music, Richard Bagnall.  If we don’t have a part for your instrument we’ll write one for you, and if the music is too hard for you we’ll arrange an easier part for you to play.  Our concerts often cover a wide variety of music from classical pieces to pop songs and everything in between. Community Choir 12.45 - 2.30 Led by Liz Wiejak, the choir tackles everything from simple songs and rounds, to arrangements of songs from the shows and classical pieces.  You don’t have to be able to read music, although we can teach you this in short sessions after choir has finished. Theory/basic singing class (selected dates) 12.00 - 12.30 [maxbutton id="2" url="http://www.furnessmusiccentre.com"]
