Carlisle Music Society is delighted to see the return of this long-established Czech piano trio who enthralled audiences in 2016. The Prague-based trio perform all over the world, but each of the three members is also an outstanding soloist giving regular performances on Czech radio. The Carlisle concert will start with a work by the Czech composer Martinu after whom the trio is named, followed by Mendelssohn’s Romantic Trio No. 1 and finishing with Beethoven’s well-known Archduke Piano Trio. Perhaps you are regretting the absence of classical concerts at the Sands? Perhaps you have never heard live chamber music? This concert, with its combination of piano, cello and violin may tempt you to try the unique experience of top-class performers in the intimacy and excellent acoustics of St. Cuthbert’s church.
